Job fair targets college graduates in Pingyao

A job fair targeting university and college graduates was held in Pingyao county in North China's Shanxi province on Aug 11. 

The event was jointly organized by Pingyao county's human resources and social security bureau, poverty alleviation and development center, Pingyao Federation of Trade Unions, Pingyao Women's Federation, Pingyao Youth League Committee, Pingyao Disabled People's Federation and Pingyao Modern Engineering Technical School.

Officials said the goal was to facilitate the employment of graduates and help alleviate poverty in the county.

A total of 107 companies participated in the jobs fair, providing more than 2,700 positions in the mining, energy, catering and construction industries. 

By 11 am on the day, more than 1,500 jobseekers had attended the fair and some of them have reached initial employment intentions with employers.
