Pingyao unveils cosmetics brand ambassadors

The brand ambassadors for Pingyaohong Makeup -- a new range of culturally inspired cosmetics products -- were recently officially unveiled at a news conference in the Ancient City of Pingyao in Pingyao county, in North China's Shanxi province.
Pingyaohong Makeup is the first flagship product under the cultural creative brand called Pingyao gift -- being jointly developed by Shanxi Culture and Tourism Investment Holding Group (SXCT) and a cultural creative team from the Palace Museum in Beijing.
Li Yazhuo, vice-chairman of the SXCT subsidiary, SXCT Pingyao Cultural Creative Co, said that the Pingyaohong cosmetics line combines the aesthetics of the Forbidden City and culture of the Ancient City of Pingyao in terms of exotic design, appeal and practicality.

SXCT Pingyao Cultural Creative Co also teamed up with Unicom Wo Anime Culture Technology Co.
They adopted a sika deer called Xiaoning as cartoon brand ambassador for Pingyaohong Makeup, along with the other six brand ambassadors.
The cartoon image is the heroine of a 52-episode original animation themed around the culture of the Ancient City of Pingyao, which is under production and to be released in summer of 2021.
At the new conference, SXCT Pingyao Cultural Creative Co signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Pingyao Theme Hotel Group, Unicom Wo Anime Culture Technology Co and Taidu Internet Technology Co to jointly develop the Pingyao gift range into a leading brand in Shanxi and even in China.
