Pingyao, JD to promote ancient city's tourism

The government of Pingyao county located in North China's Shanxi province held a meeting with the Chinese e-commerce giant JD on tourism development projects related to the Ancient City of Pingyao on May 27, according to local officials.

They said that in the talks, Pingyao county undertook to develop intelligent, personalized and integrated urban cultural tourism, to improve tourism experiences and cultural communications and to promote the upgrading of local tourism supported by JD Cloud & AI, JD's intelligent technologies provider. 

Meantime, the two sides will further promote and raise the profile of the Pingyao International Photography Festival, Pingyao International Film Festival and Sculpture Projects Ping Yao – an international sculpture festival, using cloud exhibitions. 

Shi Yong, head of Pingyao county, said that the local government would provide quality services to ensure mutual cooperation and benefits.
