Jinzhong city's people's congress kicks off

The seventh session of the 4th Jinzhong Municipal People's Congress kicked off in Jinzhong city on April 22, according to local officials.

Chang Shuming, mayor of Jinzhong city, summarized the government work undertaken and achievements made in 2019 and set new targets for the city's development in the current year. 

The mayor said the municipal government will focus its work in eight areas.

These will include new projects, the energy revolution, poverty alleviation, pollution treatment and control, construction of the Jinzhong National Agricultural High-tech Industrial Demonstration Zone, rural revitalization, as well as the development of culture, tourism and healthcare.
