Pingyao advances construction of power substation

A meeting on the construction of an ultra-high voltage, or UHV, substation for the power grid was held on April 4 in Pingyao county in North China's Shanxi province, according to local officials. 

Government officials of Pingyao and Jiexiu counties coordinated and carried out project matchmaking of the 500 kilovolt line project for the Chongguang Power Plant-Hongshan UHV Substation – sorting out and solving problems encountered in the current construction process at the meeting in order to advance the project. 

One of key projects in Shanxi province in 2019, the project starts from the 500kV incoming frame of the Hongshan 1,000kV substation in Pingyao county and ends at the 500kV outgoing frame of the Chongguang Power Plant in Jiexiu county. 

It involves the construction of 78 power transmission towers in 22 villages in five towns in Pingyao county.
