Firm to build eco-protection industrial park in Pingyao

Pingyao county government signed an agreement with Jinzhong CSG Environmental Technology Co on Dec 13, to build an environmental protection and recycling industrial park in Pingyao county, according to local officials. 

Founded in 1993, China Sciences Group or CSG is a large high-tech enterprise. Jinzhong CSG Environmental Technology Co, a subsidiary of CSG, is a company engaged in industrial environmental protection. 

Officials said the Pingyao government and Jinzhong CSG Environmental Technology Co will take advantage of CSG and the Chinese Academy of Sciences' strengths in technology, talent and industry. 

With a total investment of 480 million yuan ($68.66 million) the environmental protection and recycling industrial park, located in Pingyao Economic and Technological Development Area, will handle 100,000 metric tons of solid emissions from industrial enterprises in an eco-friendly way each year. 

It will generate an estimated 170 million yuan in annual output value and over 30 million yuan in taxes and create more than 100 jobs, once completed.

Shi Yong, head of Pingyao county, said the project would greatly promote the infrastructure construction of the Pingyao Economic and Technological Development Area. Shi said it would also boost local purification of pollution and economic and technological development.
