Pingyao ecotourism park advances its development

Pingyao Ecotourism and Culture Industrial Park (Tianlu Lake Project), based in Pingyao county in central Shanxi province, has so far seen an investment of 727 million yuan ($103.71 million) put into the place. 

The park offers visitors local high-quality hot springs and a comfortable environment. It aims to develop a ecotourism, a culture and art resort and a hot spring themed town featuring Shanxi merchant's products as well as health and leisure tours.

Constructed and funded by Shanxi Yuetou Culture and Tourism Co, the project will cost a total of 16.75 billion yuan and be constructed in three phases. 

The first phase of the hot spring resort has completed the main and secondary structures of the hotel and hot spring spa center. 

At the same time, Tianlu Lake Cultural Creative Park has completed investment promotions work and is undergoing interior renovations. It is expected to go into use at the end of the current year. 

In addition to the hotel, spa and the cultural creative park currently under construction, preparations are under way for Tianhu Lake's Ice and Snow World -- a winter themed entertainment area -- to be built.
