Pingyao signs project contracts with Hualong county

Pingyao county in Shanxi province signed joint investment projects with Hualong Hui autonomous county in Qinghai province on Oct 25, according to local officials. 

The agreements consist of a 120-million-yuan ($17 million) oil project for industrial use, a contract to buy 1,000 metric tons of yak meat annually and a recycling resource utilization project with an investment of 35 million yuan. 

Covering 2,740 square kilometers in the east part of Qinghai, Hualong Hui autonomous county is rich in natural resources and tourism resources -- and is also a major labor export county and a key county for national poverty alleviation and development.

Wang Wen, executive deputy head of Hualong Hui autonomous county, said the advantages of investing in the county were connected to from its location, ramen industry, tourism resources, and investment environment.

He invited entrepreneurs from Pingyao county to invest and start businesses in Hualong. 

The two provinces of Shanxi and Qinghai have been in communications since ancient times. 

Pingyao and Hualong counties have many similarities -- they rich in human resources and have similar industrial resources. Both are faced with opportunities and challenges for poverty alleviation and economic transformation, according to Wu Xiaohua, Party chief of Pingyao county.

She hoped that the two counties would further their cooperation in resources, industry, culture, tourism and humanities.
