Film on poverty alleviation screened in Pingyao

A news conference for the screening of Belated Confession was held during the 3rd Pingyao International Film Festival in Pingyao county on Oct 17, the organizers said. 

Belated Confession is a film on poverty alleviation jointly produced by Shanxi Haoying Network Technology Co, Dongyang Wenna Film and Television Culture Communication Co and China Poverty Alleviation Magazine. 

The film tells the story of a veteran Yu Mu who leaves his family and his comfortable life to fight against poverty in a remote mountain village. 

The story is based in Shanxi and was filmed in Shanxi. It combines the magnificent scenery, the profound culture, and local customs of Shanxi. It highlights the spirit of Shanxi people's hard-working spirit. 

In recent years, Shanxi has been increasing its alleviation of poverty and 41 out of 58 poverty-stricken counties in the province have been lifted out of poverty.
