Pingyao furthers build-out of key heating project

A government delegation led by Shi Yong, head of Pingyao county, visited local Huijia Thermal Power and Heating Co as well as Xiguo village, to get the latest on progress for the construction of an important heating project there. 

Operated by two heating companies in Pingyao, so far the project has carried out construction of heating systems in 18 local villages and dilapidated buildings in urban areas since 2019 – adding a heating area of over 230 hectares.  

Shi Yong stressed that the winter was coming. 

He said government departments at town and village levels -- and construction companies -- should coordinate and resolve difficulties encountered during the construction phase.

This was important, to ensure the completion of the project and let local residents get through the cold winter, he added.
