Pingyao adds new farm products logistics park

Pingyao County in Jinzhong city in North China's Shanxi province is to add an organic farm products logistics park to its industry facilities, with the preliminary work completed recently, according to local media reports.

The logistics park project, one of Jinzhong city’s key projects, covers an area of 13 hectares, with 10 ha of that accommodating a wholesale market for agricultural products.

Plans are to have wholesale trade zones -- for vegetables, fruit, frozen meat, grain and oil, daily necessities, local specialties, hotels and kitchen supplies – as well as products which are self-produced and sold.

Also, there are plans to have major support facilities. This comprises facilities for cold chain storage, sorting processing, displays and sales, inspection and quarantine, e-commerce incubators, business offices, hotels, as well as a refueling and gas station.
