Awards ceremony for Shanxi aerial photos held in Pingyao

An awards ceremony for a photography exhibition called "Looking at Shanxi in the air" took place in Pingyao county on Sept 19, according to the organizers.

The photo exhibition was aimed at promoting Shanxi's culture, tourism and short-distance air transport and tour services -- by combining the elements of air tourism, short-haul transport and photography. 

After nearly five months of preparation, the exhibition selected 130 exhibits from 13,800 aerial photographs. 

They showcased the long history, rich culture and breathtaking scenery around Shanxi province.
