Short film exhibition to be staged in Pingyao

The first Qingfeng Zhengqi Original Microfilm Exhibition will be held in the Ancient City of Pingyao from Sept 30 to Oct 30, according to a press conference held in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, on Aug 21. 

Organizers said the upcoming event will have films that have clean and honest government as their theme . 

It will feature short films from across the country, as well as invite well-known film critics, academics, film directors, and screenwriters to review entries. 

The winning works will be screened at the Pingyao Festival Palace and China (Pingyao) Supervision Culture Museum. 

Currently, the event has gathered more than 50 microfilms and it is expected that the number will increase to 100 by the application deadline on Aug 25. 

One Best Film Award, one Best Director Award, one Best Screenplay Award and one Best Performance Award will be selected among the 20 finalists. 

During the event, the award-winning film's production team will be invited to share their ideas with participants on what makes the concept of incorrupt government more deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
