Pingyao develops intelligent tourism with firm's 5G support

Government officials of Pingyao county met representatives of the Jinzhong branch of China Tower Co on Aug 7, for business matchmaking related to an intelligent culture and tourism project based on 5G technology. 

The project aims to carry out applications and the innovation of virtual reality, the internet of things, the internet of vehicles, the industrial internet – as well as culture and tourism, medicine, agriculture through constructing a 5G test network. 

Making use of the company's operations and expertise in monitoring and emergency early-warning, power security, and professional maintenance, the local government will establish a cutting-edge emergency protection system based on local 5G stations.

The project will first build 5G demonstration areas at a diesel engine factory in the Ancient City of Pingyao and Pingyao People's Hospital, and gradually expand the 5G coverage.
