Pingyao ranks among top 10 national 5A tourist attractions

The Ancient City of Pingyao ranked sixth in the list of top 100 Chinese 5A tourist attractions in June with an overall score of 298.11. 

The monthly list of 259 5A tourist attractions across China was based on the Meadin Brand Index, an industrial statistical analysis platform. The evaluations were based on the attractions' internet influence and looked at measures such as its search index, public opinion index, operation index, and media index. 

The Ancient City of Pingyao, with a history of 2,800 years, is located in central Shanxi province and is one of four well-preserved ancient cities in China. It was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.
