Pingyao hospital introduces new gastroscope

The Pingyao People's Hospital recently introduced a magnetically guided capsule endoscopy device, which is a powerful tool for medical screening and diagnosis in which a small capsule is swallowed and moved through the human gastrointestinal tract via natural peristalsis and gravity.

The device is mainly aimed at patients with gastrointestinal diseases who cannot tolerate gastroscopy. The process causes no discomfort. After examination, capsule robots are excreted along other matter from the digestive tract. There is no risk of cross infection if the process is only undergone once.
