Pingyao holds fire control promotion carnival

A fire control promotional carnival was held in the Ancient City of Pingyao on June 23. 

Sponsored by the fire and rescue bureau at the Ministry of Emergency Management and organized by the Shanxi Provincial Fire and Rescue Department and the Jinzhong government, the event focused on fire prevention, control and protection of the city's ancient architecture. 

Fire vehicle and equipment displays, search and rescue dog training performances, a short drama show about firefighting, as well as firefighting experience for attendees, were organized during the carnival. 

In addition, new postcards themed around fire prevention and control of the Ancient City of Pingyao were launched. 

Some 300 fans of China fire control social media platforms, including Sina Weibo, WeChat and Tik Tok -- from 17 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China -- took part in the event.
