Pingyao film festival hosts show in Paris

Pingyao International Film Festival -- together with French film company mk2 -- hosted a screening event called PYIFF in Paris on June 19.

Organizers scheduled June 19-25 as the dates for French audiences to view six Chinese realistic films selected by the PYIFF in mk2 Bibliothèque in Paris. There, they have also been interacting with the production groups of the films. 

It's the first time that PYIFF has held an overseas film promotion. 

The event aimed to encourage direct communications between Chinese young filmmakers and overseas viewers and inspire cinema creations, according to Jia Zhangke, founder of PYIFF.
