Pingyao entrepreneur gets provincial recognition

Zhao Jun, an entrepreneur and general manager of Pingyao Changwang Real Estate Development Co, recently received provincial recognition when he was included in a Shanxi provincial support plan for talented individuals. 

After retiring from the army in 2008, Zhao Jun started humbly from the grassroots level as an apprentice at a local coal washing plant. 

But he carried forward the good habits and morals developed during his service in the army and eventually emerged as a business leader. 

Colleagues say that under his leadership, Changwang Real Estate Co has achieved a great deal in growing its business. 

Apart from his career success, the Pingyao entrepreneur has also insisted on repaying society for his good fortune. 

He has repaired the roads in Sanjia village in Xiangle Town, where the coal washing plant is located and each year has paid 240,000 yuan ($33,893) to fund the cooperative medical insurance premiums for the villagers. 

The Shanxi support plan for talent -- called Sanjin Yingcai -- is a provincial plan aimed at boosting talent incentives and stimulating their drive for innovative entrepreneurship. 

People recognized by the plan, including leading professionals and talent from various industries and other areas of endeavor, receive subsidies.
