Pingyao leg of Taiyuan international cycling race winds up

There was excitement as a total of 91 cyclists hit the roads at Yingxunmen Square in Pingyao county on May 31 – kicking off the last section of the 2019 Tour of Taiyuan, which is an international road cycling race.
Hosted by the Chinese Cycling Association, the Shanxi Sport Bureau and Taiyuan government, the May 26-31 race was divided into six legs extending 730 kilometers.
The six sections consisted of the Taiyuan section, a Great Wall leg in Datong city, the Mount Wutai section in Xinzhou city, the Taihang Mountain stage in Changzhi city, the Yellow River section in Yuncheng city and Ancient City of Pingyao leg in Jinzhong city.
Martin Laas from the United States won the Ancient City of Pingyao section of the race.
Piper Cameron, another cyclist from the US, won first place in the individual scores for the total race, according to the organizing committee of the event.
