3 Shanxi counties recognized for tourism industry

Pingyao, Yangcheng, and Jiexiu counties in North China's Shanxi province were included in a list of 2018 top 100 counties in China in terms of tourism competitiveness released by the Credit Committee of the China Information Industry Association and the Competitiveness Think Tank on May 19. 

A total of 1,889 counties across 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities were evaluated based on 35 indicators in six categories, namely tourism resources, tourism economy, tourism infrastructure, environment, government promotion, and social reputation.
