Pingyao firm helps drafting of national industry standard

A Pingyao company helped in the drafting of an important national industry standard -- at the preliminary review meeting of the National Industry Standards Revision for Graphite Cathode Carbon Blocks for Aluminum Electrolysis. 

Officials said the meeting was held in Pingyao county on May 12.

Representatives of the China Nonferrous Metals Standardization Technical Committee and related enterprises participated in the event. 

The industry standard revision was initiated by Shanxi Liangyu Carbon Co, based in Pingyao county, as the first drafting company. It is expected to become a formal standard in December this year. 

Founded in 2002, Shanxi Liangyu Carbon Co has developed into the world's biggest aluminum cathode carbon manufacturer -- integrating the business of intelligent production, scientific research support, international operations and integrated electrolytic cell construction and installations.
