50,000-kW wind power project lifts off in Pingyao

A 50,000-kW wind farm project to be funded and constructed by State Power Investment Pingyao New Energy Co began work in Kangjiazhuang village, Pingyao county on Aug 17.

With total investment of 410 million yuan ($59.73 million), the project marks a milestone in the exploitation of local wind energy resources and will help Pingyao's industrial restructuring.
