Pingyao marks Cultural and Natural Heritage Day

The Administrative Committee of the Ancient City of Pingyao organized a series of activities designed to promote the area's culture and heritage on June 9. The events were part of efforts to mark China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.

Related seminars, lectures and a general knowledge contest were launched. The staff members of the committee also gave out brochures highlighting the laws and regulations related to heritage protection.

Through the activities, the committee aimed to make local residents and visitors aware of the value of China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day and arouse public awareness of the need to protect cultural heritage.
