Culture and heritage exhibition opens in Pingyao

A photo and video exhibition marking the 2018 Culture and Natural Heritage Day opened in Pingyao county on June 7.

The exhibition, with the theme "memory, life, and communication", will highlight 30 documentaries on culture and the protection of natural heritage. Other activities, such as a forum on audiovisual literature and a Pingyao handicraft show will also be held.

Experts in anthropology, ethnology, and folklore will participate in discussions on photography and videos as national memory, during several academic forums at the exhibition.

"We hope more people will participate in recording our cultural heritage and help to preserve the national collective memory," said Li Song, director of the exhibition.

The exhibition will last until June 9.
