Foreign institute examines heritage protection in Pingyao

A delegation from the Longhua Institute, a Chinese language training organization based in Sri Lanka, visited Pingyao on May 27 to investigate the protection and development of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The delegates toured local historical sites and an intangible cultural heritage museum, learning of Pingyao's achievements in protecting and developing its cultural heritage.

The delegates expressed hopes that the two sides will further communication and cooperation in relevant areas.
