E-commerce bartering system comes to Pingyao

Pingyao introduced a new kind of rural e-commerce initiative allowing rural residents to barter grain for cash and other things they need through an e-commerce platform on May 7.

The bartering system uses a third-party platform and was created by Shanxi Liangyi Tianxia E-Commerce Co and works in conjunction with offline services. The system covers villages, farms, communities, shopping centers and industrial parks to help local farmers and merchants solve difficulties in selling grain and products, increasing their incomes and boosting the local agricultural industry.

So far, five counties in Shanxi province have adopted the e-commerce bartering initiative.
