Foreign exhibition curators tour Pingyao

Ruth Noack and Lorenzo Benedetti, two international curators of exhibitions, toured Pingyao county on April 17 to check on the progress of the preparationfor the upcoming Pingyao International Sculpture Festival.

They visited Pingyao Festival Palace, Yingxunmen Square, Pingyao Modern Engineering Technical School as well as Shuangling Temple and Zhenguo Temple which are famous for painted sculptures.

Ruth Noack and Lorenzo Benedetti were curators of the 12th Documenta in Kassel, Germany and the national pavilion of International Art Exhibition at the 55th Venice Biennale respectively, which are recognized as major art world events.

The Pingyao International Sculpture Festival will open on July 20, aiming to be another branded cultural event following the Pingyao International Photography Festival and the Pingyao International Film Festival.
