Forum on pear industry held in Pingyao

A forum on industrial upgrading, part of the eighth pear blossom tourism festival, was held in Xiangyuan town, Pingyao county, on April 3.

The forum featured Niu Zimian, a professor from the Pomology Institute at Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, who delivered a lecture on the development outlook for new pear breeds and the application of technologies to fruit tree cultivation and optimization for local pear farmers.

Online marketing experts from Taobao, one of the top domestic online shopping platforms, also shared their experience and knowledge during the forum to help promote the online sale of pears in the town, with the aim of benefiting more farmers.
