Pingyao gifts on sale for visitors

Two exclusive shops for "Pingyao gifts" –– at Rishengchang Exchange Shop and Pingyao Xianya (ancient Chinese government office), two tourist attractions in the Ancient City of Pingyao –– have recently attracted crowds of visitors.

Pingyao and the cultural services center of the Palace Museum in Beijing jointly developed a cultural brand called "Pingyao gifts" in 2017. The two sides opened several exclusive shops for the gifts in the Palace Museum and the Ancient City of Pingyao, offering more than 90 kinds of products in nine categories, such as lacquer ware and stationery.

To promote the brand and culture of Pingyao, a cultural communication week for the Palace Museum and Jinzhong city, which administrates Pingyao county, will also be held.
