Pingyao Festival Palace receives over 360,000 visitors during the holiday

Pingyao Festival Palace, where the first Pingyao International Film Festival was held, received nearly 360,000 visitors during the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 15 to 21.

Aiming to become a vital base for road shows and premieres in North China, Pingyao Festival Palace screened films 212 times in its five auditoriums with audiences amounting to 10,483.

Apart from film watching, Pingyao Festival Palace was also a good choice for visitors to learn traditional culture and further understand Pingyao.

An arts exhibition highlighting Chinese New Year traditions was held at Pingyao Festival Palace, showing tourists folk customs of Spring Festival combined with modern aesthetics, including Chinese New Year paintings and shadow play.
