Pingyao adds provincial park

Yingxun Park in Pingyao county has recently been designated a provincial three-star park, following several rounds of selection, according to Jinzhong planning and city management bureau.

The park, to the south of the Ancient City of Pingyao, covers some 40 hectares with afforested area measuring 28 hectares and water covering 3 hectares. More than 60 kinds of plants currently grow in the park.

A major tourist channel for visitors to the Ancient City of Pingyao, Yingxun Park combines natural scenery with unique local historical and cultural elements with steles, pavilions and springs built in the park, allowing tourists to enjoy the beauty of the 2,700-year-old ancient city.
