Ice and snow activities added to Pingyao's attractions

Pingyao International Ice and Snow Amusement Park featuring ice and snow themed activities opened in Pingyao county on Jan 6, offering locals and visitors to Pingyao an ideal destination for winter entertainment.

The park in Jingling village, Hongshan town, was a project developed in response to the national promotion of winter tourism and following the winter sports trend brought on by the coming Winter Olympics in China.

With investment from Inner Mongolia Kunteng Tourism Management Co, the Pingyao International Ice and Snow Amusement Park was constructed in three stages. The first stage of the project has almost been completed. The whole project is expected to be finished by the end of 2019.

The park will be a venue for this year’s Pingyao Chinese New Year, an event in celebration of Spring Festival. It will hold an ice and snow festival and launch a series of ice and snow activities to attract more tourists.
