Philatelic tour comes to Pingyao

Stamp collectors had a field day as the Shanxi stop of the 2017 National Philatelic Tour was held in Pingyao county from Sept 20 to 25.

Sponsored by China Post Group, the All-China Philatelic Federation, and publicity office of the Party committee of Shanxi, the event exhibited 80 selected stamp albums from philatelic associations of cities and provinces including Beijing, Shandong, Hebei, Jiangsu, and Yunnan, and 160 stamp albums from Shanxi province, focusing on the culture of the Silk Road and core values of Chinese socialism.

The organizers also initiated a philatelic cultural event among schools across Shanxi province at the opening ceremony of the national philatelic tour.

A philatelic seminar for 10 provinces in North China was held by Shanxi philatelic association during the tour.
