Pingyao specialties attract attention at SXCIF

Cultural products and services from Pingyao county were on display at the third Shanxi Cultural Industries Fair (SXCIF) from Aug 24 to 28, attracting visitors' attention.

Local companies and tourist attractions, such as Pingyao Eco-tourism and Culture Industrial Park, Tangdu Polished Lacquer Co, and Tianlu Lake Resort promoted their culture-related products and services at the five-day event.

“Our stone-made paper is popular at the fair. Through the event, more people have been able to discover the special ecofriendly paper made from stone and our company now has the confidence to further improve the product,” said Chang Tianjin, production manager for Uni-moon Eco-Friendly Paper Co.

This year’s cultural industries fair made 190 million yuan ($28.86 million) in revenue through various activities including business-matchmaking conferences, project promotion meetings and agreement signing ceremonies, with another 4.1 billion yuan expected based on intentions to cooperate expressed at the fair.
