New Pingyao Chamber of Commerce hunts for investment

New Pingyao Chamber of Commerce in Taiyuan held a project signing meeting on July 30 with the aim of attracting investment to Pingyao county and Taiyuan.

More than 500 people, such as representatives of Pingyao chamber of commerce in Beijing, Hong Kong, Wuhan and Guangzhou, as well as businesspeople from member companies of New Pingyao Chamber of Commerce in Taiyuan, took part in the event.

Companies from different places expressed intentions to cooperate with the chamber of commerce in tourism, logistics, home decoration and agriculture. The government of Xiangyuan town in Pingyao county signed an agreement with the chamber on developing a local pear industry during the meeting.

The New Pingyao Chamber of Commerce in Taiyuan has been attracting investment to Pingyao and Taiyuan and organizing charity events since its founding in 2014. It now has 251 member units with assets of more than 50 billion yuan ($7.43 billion).
