Pingyao makes it onto list of popular tourist towns

The Ancient City of Pingyao has been included in one of the top 10 popular tourist towns in China, according to a tourist report recently released by Lvmama, an online tourist service platform.

The report shows that the number of visitors who have chosen small towns as tourist destinations in 2017 has increased twofold year-on-year. Apart from the Ancient City of Pingyao in Shanxi, other popular tourist towns are mainly in East China, such as Xitang town in Zhejiang province and Zhouzhuang town in Jiangsu province.

There are six tourist attractions in Shanxi, such as the Ancient City of Yuci and the Chang Family’s Manor, listed in the top 10 small towns in North China.
