Pingyao government officials held a meeting with officials of CRRC Urban Traffic Co on May 20 to advance a local tourist train project.
The project, a key one for Pingyao's 2017 work plan, is of great value in driving local tourism and attracting more visitors.
The construction of a 6-kilometer rail line from the Ancient City of Pingyao county to Shuanglin Temple will be launched in 2017.
