Pingyao honors May Fourth Movement

Pingyao celebrates National Youth Day on May 4 in commemoration of the May Fourth Movement. Young people from all walks of life in the county told their stories at the event to encourage the young to be patriotic, work hard and pursue their dreams. The May fourth movement was a cultural and political movement launched by students in Beijing on May 4, 1919, protesting against a treaty that transferred Germany’s control of East China's Shandong Province to Japan.
