E-buses make debut in Pingyao

The first batch of electric buses was launched in Pingyao county on Feb 5, replacing some of the older gas guzzling vehicles currently used.

The routes of these 76 buses will cover the downtown area of the county, towns, and villages under the administration of Pingyao, such as Line 102 and a route connecting Pingyao to Renzhuang village.

The new electric buses will help modernize public transportation and help improve the tourism environment in the county, according to Liu Guangming, a local government official.
