Some classical Chinese cities, such as Pingyao in Shanxi province, Langzhong in Sichuan province, Huizhou in Anhui province and Anju in Chongqing are working on a unified plan on ticketing, which allows people to visit the cities at a lower cost.
There was an announcement after a meeting of the ancient city alliance, in Anju, recently, where the delegates explained that the matter is still being debated a lot, but if it is successful it will be an important step in their larger, collective development effort.
The four towns mentioned above got together to form the alliance a year ago so they could start the collective development of their heritage resources.
