Legal counseling services cover 29,736 Shanxi villages

A total of 29,736 villages and communities in Shanxi province had legal counselors till May 27, thanks to the initiative to guarantee each village or community a legal counselor promoted by the province's department of justice this March.

In promoting this initiative, a variety of working methods were developed in accordance with locals' situations. For those with rich legal resources, such as Taiyuan and Jincheng, lawyers would take the posts as legal counselors, while cities with underdeveloped legal resources may use existing judicial administration networks or integrate legal resources.

Though the initiative covered all the targeted villages and communities, the province will keep on working to maintain high quality and effective legal counseling.
