Portrait photography set in Pingyao

The China Portrait Photography Society organized a shoot in the Ancient City of Pingyao, Shanxi province, on April 14.

The photography society, along with the Taiyuan Photographers Association and Pingyao's tourism bureau, invited 18 top portrait photographers from China and South Korea to give lectures and take portraits in the ancient city.

Nearly 300 Chinese photographers and about 10 models spent a day shooting photographs in Pingyao.

"The models' fashion style is set in Pingyao's Ming(1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties architecture. We captured this distinctive crossover, which can only take place in Pingyao," said Zhang Huabing, a famous portrait photographer.
