Jinzhong, Capital Group cooperate through PPP

Jinzhong in North China's Shanxi province reached a PPP (public-private partnership) agreement on circular economy with Beijing Capital Group on April 18.

Jinzhong's agreement with the group involves 18 projects improving the city's integrated environment.

According to the agreement, the group will invest over 2.6 billion yuan ($419.64 million) to improve the city's environment, which will involve seven livelihood sectors, including water resources and environment, solid waste, rural environment and air quality.

From 2014, Jinzhong introduced the PPP model into its public services areas, such as city construction, waste water treatment and agriculture development. Its cooperation with the Capital Group is a further practice of the PPP model.

Beijing Capital Group is a Beijing-based state-owned group and was listed in China's Top 500 Enterprises for several successive years. The group mainly does business in environment protection, infrastructure, real estate and financial services.
