Pingyao invests 10 million yuan in culture

Pingyao county in North China's Shanxi province will allocate 10 million yuan ($1.61 million) to support the county's cultural development.

On April 2 the county issued measures on the use and management of the culture industry fund.Seven kinds of projects, relating to developing the county's traditional culture and promoting tourism, will benefit from this fund. These cultural projects will receive support through discounted loan, subsidies, financial aid and rewards.

The seven kinds of projects included the key projects and enterprises' advantageous projects that have been listed in the county's cultural development plan; key culture industry parks and demonstration enterprises; key cultural events and brands; emerging cultural industries, cultural products with independent intellectual right and cultural services export; projects on intangible cultural heritages conservation and development and other approved cultural and tourism projects.
