Pingyao takes national civilization titles

Three Pingyao county government operations, in Shanxi province were added to China’s National Civilized Unit list by the National Spiritual Civilization Development Steering Committee recently, giving the county a total of four of these units and putting it at the top of the counties around the city of Jinzhong.

The national civilized villages, towns and units title, chosen every three years, is the highest commendation a village, town or unit can get for its harmonious development, civil behavior, and political, spiritual and ecological sense.

These new units are the State Tax Administration Pingyao branch, county industrial and commercial administration Gutao branch, and the Pingyao Old Town scenic area. They join the last selection’s winner, the Pingyao Middle School.

In recent years, Pingyao has seen a lot of progress in many ways, from infrastructure and facilities to public services.
