Pingyao heritage gets onto China's visa

The image of the Old City of Pingyao, in Shanxi province, has made it onto the new Chinese passport, China Central Television's Channel 1 reported on the morning news, on Mar 13, when a visa is issued the foreign passport holder would get it inside the passport pages.

The TV program explains that a foreign applicant for Chinese visa may have the chance to get the new visa stamp of the image of Pingyao to represent the province, showing its popularity to foreign visitors. This is thought to be a great way for Pingyao to get more publicity worldwide.
