The top five spots were the Old City of Pingyao, the Taiyuan city zoo, the Wang Family Courtyard in Jingsheng county with Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1636-1912) dynasty architecture, the Guandi Temple in Haizhou county where Guan Yu, a heroic figure in the Three Kingdoms (AD 220-280) lived, and the Qiao Family Courtyard in Qi county.
