Shanxi county wants its own tourism brand

When Pingyao county, in Shanxi province, asked the vice-president of the China Scheming Research Institute's Tourism Branch and seven other experts on tourist brands to visit the county and take a look at the local tourism business, they responded and came to study ways to improve its tourism and come up with a good plan for development this year.

Jiang Yongsheng came, on Jan 11, along with the other experts and studied at the list of key projects. The local government then listened carefully to their ideas on branding and marketing, rural tourism development, and integrating tourism resources and county heads spoke with the experts about long term cooperation them and the scenic spots.

The team members got a tour of the Tang Dynasty Lacquer Ware Park, Rishengchang (China's first bank), the old council center, and the city walls and shared their ideas later on ways to develop tourism services and highlighting cultural aspects more in tourism.
