Shanxi get-together for young business people

When Pingyao county, in Shanxi province held a Young Entrepreneur Forum, on Dec 17, its idea was to improve young people's sense of innovation and the job environment, and to attract the government's attention to provide some support.

The deputy head of the county, Zhang Jindong, rubbed shoulders with university professors and CEOs of local enterprises to help analyze current economic trends, young people's understanding of the policies the support entrepreneurs, and ways to get financing, and to share their own personal experience in running a business.

In addressing the gathering, Zhang spoke of the county's future and its economy, saying that it really needs to change its enterprises from labor-intensive and environmentally unfriendly to high-tech, cleaner industries.
